Purchase question for Dinc

I'm a little confused about trying to upgrade to an Incredible outside of Verizon. My "new every two" is in a few weeks. My wife and I both currently have Blackberry Storms on a family plan, and want to upgrade both to the Incredible. Is it possible to do it cheaper through Amazon or Best Buy, and still keep our current plan?

Soon to be owner of a DInc. Just ordered it today with a delivery date of Friday. Can't wait to get started on this. You all have been great in the advice and I am sure I will turn to these forums for tips and tricks. I am coming from a BB Storm. Can't wait for the bigger screen!
