Purchased Moto Z2 play Sunday dropped Tuesday.

Dropped from about one foot, the phone now has a black haze over it can't see home screen. I had it in an otterbox case and a glass screen protector. Any words of wisdom other than don't drop your phone! Amazed that a drop from such a short distance would cause such damage. Went back to Verizon and they said nothing they could do.

Welcome to Android Central! Ouch, that's a bummer.:'( Maybe a connection just got jarred loose -- bring it to a repair shop and see if there's a quick fix.

Bummer I've dropped mine from 3 feet on to concrete numerous times with just a bumper on it with no damage at all.

Might also be worth a shot to reach out to Otterbox. I don't know if they're cases offer any financial protection against damage that the case "should" have prevented. Otherwise, as mentioned above, see if a repair place can take it apart and see what failed.

It's hard to believe with all that protection that a 1 foot fall could cause that kind of problem. I guess that's the downside of owning a super thin phone :-(
