Hi all,
Just picked up a new Tab S2 yesterday and probably should have done my research better ...
Today I've been getting to get Peel Remote and Samsung Tv & Remote to operate my recent model Samsung LED60 with no success. I am aware that the GT2 does not have an IR capability however I would have thought it would work through our home network.

I have no issues running the same programs worth my S6 phone.

Smart TV works perfectly on both the S6 and the GT2.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I'm looking for a decent IR remote app too. I've got a Galaxy Tab 4. When I got it I was using the Peel app, but apparently that app is no longer supported?

Unfortunately, the Tab S2 doesn't have an IR blaster so using it as a remote won't work.

Well, you can use the tablet as a remote, as long as you have a smart tv with WiFi. I use TV SideView. Still looking for a better app.

Our Samsung has wifi and I'll check this out.

I'm pretty sure the Samsung Remote app worked on wifi too. Will give it second look.

I use a Harmony Hub to use my GTS2 as a remote on my home network. I have a Samsung tv, a Tivo, and a Roku 3 hooked up, and it all works pretty flawlessly. The setup was simple, and the software on the Tab S2 (and my GS5 phone) is pretty easy to figure out, too.

The Hub isn't a free option, like some of the software that works with IR blasters, but it works great. I would recommend it to anyone.
