Personally I really like Qik. I have only been using it since I got the EVO a few weeks ago, but I have uploaded a few videos from the Qik software on the phone and they are very clear and bright. I don't know about integration with Skype, but since I can do video conferencing with the EVO I haven't been using Skype.

Can you do video conferencing to someone at at desktop, or only another EVO? I thought that, without Skype, that wasn't possible.

Qik is phone to phone only. and it isn't integrated into skype so you setup a different username and tie it to your phone number.

Extra charge is for higher resolution videos mainly. That's the jist of the charge.
