Couple days ago, I rooted using Gingerbreak. I made a backup in CWM recovery. Restored from it. No problems there. I partitioned my SD card using MiniTool, and installed Link2sd. Everything is working great. I also used Titanium Backup to delete some bloatware. And I have SuperUser installed.

The one thing I've yet to do is install BusyBox. Do I need it? The warnings when you start BusyBox are sort of offputting, that sometimes it can push your phone into an endless bootloop, etc.

Then it had two options for where to install it, /system/xbin, and /system/bin. Not sure if it matters which, but that was my second question.

So can I get on without it, or is it a necessary tool if I'm rooted? And if so, should I not worry about the bootloop warnings and where should I install it, xbin, or bin?

Thanks!

Yes you need busybox for root programs to correctly. Think of it as a toolbox for your root programs. You can put it in either location, mine is in xbin.
