Quality Issues With HTC One

Mine showed up today. The construction was pretty much flawless minus the volume rocker being crooked. I would have been ok with it since it was slight but I have 3 dead pixels on the screen. It's a shame cause I would have loved this phone. I'm sending back tomorrow and will never own another HTC phone again after the problems I've had with every major HTC release to date.

You're funny. If you look back on my history with this forum, you'll see that I I've been on here for awhile, you'll see my history with devices, you'll see that I've been written about on tech blogs and that I've helped a lot of people with various issues. I'll even do you the honor of adding a photo of mine, with it's box AND include myself in the picture to keep my name clear of any slander. Since I work nights, you'll have to wait about 4 hours for me to get home to take the picture.

Is there any way you can post a pic of the gap? I want to see how small the gap is, because my phone is definitely not 'gapless' but the gaps aren't significant for me to worry about it at all.

Got my device a few days ago, No quality control issues here. (AT&T)

I got mine today. No major gaps, besides a slight one near the bottom that isn't a big enough issue. However, I noticed that straight out of the box that the metal parts had dings and scuffs all over them already, as well as a few of the plastic parts being roughed up near the edges and the headjack hole being roughed up inside...

I'm going to try it out for a week to see if I like it, then either replace it for a cleaner one or just a new type all together.

I either have a very fine speck of dust or an exceptionally small dead or stuck pixel in my screen. Only found it when I looked for it. Won't be exchanging though, it's better for my mental health to keep it .

I received my yesterday. After inspecting it with a very fine eye, I can happily report no issues with the build quality (at&t).

Is there any way you can post a pic of the gap? I want to see how small the gap is, because my phone is definitely not 'gapless' but the gaps aren't significant for me to worry about it at all.

I think I have a similar gap like yours (maybe smaller), but it doesn't really bother me much, so I'm just gonna keep the phone. I didn't even think that that's a defect until you posted your picture.

Has anyone from the uk hit this issue and tried swapping out the phone? My colleague talked to a Three store person who claimed that this wouldn't count as a defect and that they wouldn't swap a phone based on this. (In his words, where do you stop swapping, 3 phones, 5?). I'm hoping its less noticeable in black, but it's certainly put my colleague off

Going to exchange mine tomorrow due to gaps on the top and the screen not being flush with the speaker. Has anyone had problems doing the exchange? This will be my third phone. Hopefully my last one

Same spot, same issue; I even have part of the plastic/metal chipped. I called in for support (can't exchange here) and they told me that I should wait a couple of weeks before sending it into repair as they're just receiving new parts..
