Question about Music Player.

Im finding it really tough to figure out if you can shuffle all of your music? I use Endomundo when Im out walking and jogging and I need to shuffle all the music I have on here. I cant figure out how to do it. Anyone got any tips? Thanks guys.

did you try playing from the all category and just hitting shuffle? using the native app correct?

or use the google music app and click the songs tab and hit menu then there is an option to shuffle all.

Well I did try that in the native app. It doesn't have a shuffle option anywhere. Google music works fine. But the native app lets you slide down a CD that shows what your playing on the lock screen. And it lets you change the track. But for the life of me I can't find the shuffle option lol.

if you go into the app start playing a song in the all tab and right about the tracking of the song to the left is the shuffle button

I'm also having a problem with music player on the infuse. just upgraded from captivate. the music player doesn't organize songs in the correct running order under the album option. At first I thought it might be an issue of song tagging, but I went into my captive and the very same album is correctly ordered there. I've searched the music player settings and don't see any relevant options. Some album are ordered alphabetically and some with no rhyme or reason. Thanks.

Go to your library and play a song...then when the song plays and it switches screens, you can press the shuffle button on the bottom left-should be the two arrows crossing each other. It remembers your settings so if you want to listen to an entire album you must pick to play the first song on that album and repress the arrows to turn it back off!

Thanks but that's not it. The problem is that the track listing in the album is incorrect. In some albums its alphabetical, and in some it appears random. I have shuffle turned off. I tried what you suggested and started playing the first song of an album (the real first song) , regardless of where it appears in the track listing in the album, and it then goes to the next song, which is incorrect. Where the tracks are alphabetical, I play the first song, then it plays the next song which appears alphabetically. Its not a tagging problem, because I have the very same file (album) on my old captive phone. On that phone the music player displays the songs in their correct order and plays them that way.

I don't see the same issue on my music player. I play/create off the playlists, because there you can change orders, etc. If you have each album's mp3s in its own folder, you can enable Folders in the player settings to look at your music by folder system. This actually displays the real file name of each song. I believe that's how the player sorts the songs in Album. I always name my files starting with 01 to whatever and then the filename. (i.e. 01_artistname_songname.mp3). Or just dropping the correct numbers in front of the filename for each song. I've never had any issues with song order doing this. Set your cd ripping software to create the filenames like this.
