I was checking my account and on the upgrade option shows this:
"iPhone Upgrade
As a valued AT&T customer, you qualify for a discounted iPhone upgrade at two-year commitment pricing plus $250, along with a two-year commitment and an $18 upgrade fee. Please proceed with the online upgrade process for pricing details. You may qualify for a full discount on a standard iPhone upgrade on 07/19/2011 "
I know that if I upgrade now I have to pay a $250 fee, but what does a "full discount" includes. Does it mean that I have to pay the usual phone value of $199.99 plus th $18 and not the $250? Is this only for iPhones or I can upgrade to any other smartphone? I want the SGS2
Thanks guys

it is exactly as it says an iphone dicount. the closer to your contract expiration the deeper the discount. after your expiration the other phones will be available for discount. I'm not a fan of iphone so waiting for your contract to be up in, I'm guessing 7/19, would be a better idea. You will have a better selection of phones. AT&T has some tempting phone coming down the pipeline, maybe even wait a bit longer, to get one of those.

research is recommended in buy a phone that is the most future proof you can buy.

Not exactly.. They will offer an "early upgrade" depending on your acct. Usually we see it as an iphone only offer..but sometimes for any phone. The price for the "early upgrade" does not decrease the closer u get to your upgrade date.. It's always $250 for smartphones (& $85 for quick msg phones) *plus* the "upgrade" price of the phone.
