Question About Quick Charging

So we know that the Axon 7 has Quick Charge 3.0 technology and charges crazy fast. My question is whether or not Quick Charge 2.0 chargers still charge the phone faster than a regular charger. I have a bunch of Quick Charge 2.0 charges from my Moto XPE days and didn't think there would be any benefit to using them until I plugged in the charger that came with the Moto XPE, slapped on a USB C adapter and when I plugged it into Axon 7 the Quick Charging indicator came on. I didn't see this with the Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 charger. So will a 2.0 charger charge a 3.0 device quicker than a regular charger?
