My brother has a T-Mobile S8 Active. I was thinking about getting him a fast charger for Christmas, but then I looked at the S8 specs & one of the features is "Ultra-fast Wired & Wireless Charging". Does it mean that S8 comes with a fast-charger or just that it's is capable of being fast-charged?

About the OEM charger..
  • What is the OEM charger output in either Volts/amps or in watts. (It's written on the side or the bottom of the charger)
  • Does the phone come with a wireless charger or do you have to buy one?
  • Just curious... is wireless charging faster, slower or the same as wired.

It comes with a fast charger.

As you said, the output is written (in the Output line) on the charger. Look at it.
Most phones (all phones?) do not come with a wireless charger.
Wireless is usually at least a little bit, if not a lot, slower.

I can't look at it-- he lives 100 miles away. I could ask him abt output, but it would mess up the Christmas present aspect (moot, now that I know he already has one.) ;)

Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll get him a wireless charger...

note this is stock s8+ labeled adaptive fast charging for the wall jack and the wireless samsung label that is the first photo is the Samsung upright 'fast charge' wireless charger as labeled on the front end. view photo for your answers on current

I highly advise against the worst but thought it would be good wireless charger. I haven't used it and for 60 dollars it's slower and I can't find any practical usage for it as much as I abuse the phone so much to eat Power. Don't get it and yes it's slower but youre not going to be pissed it's slow. it's just not as fast as your stock normal charger even and it's price is the worst decision I made thinking it had functions id find it handy. I beg you to learn from my pain
samsung also will not allow it to be registered since they claim its serial number isnt an American Samsung product in their system... and they won't register international. best buy sold the American product that reads Samsung of America on the box but they won't take 20 minutes of complaints to even give it a thought
