Question about texting from your computer with Android messages

This may or may not seem like a stupid question to some, to me, yeah, but I need to ask it anyway.
So as some of you may know, you can text from your computer with Android messages. Does this in anyway cause extra battery drain on your phone, or anything else weird?

Just the normal drain you'd expect. (Doing anything on or with the phone costs battery. Even letting it sit turned off - batteries self-discharge.)
