Hello,

I'm new to Android and love a ton of things about it but am quite bummed about 3 important features coming from WM. I could write several paragraphs about the positives of android but was wondering if any of these will be improved in Android 4.0

1. Voice dialing - VC for WM worked great - almost 100% accurate. I can say several sentences when voice dicating text messages and it gets them nearly perfect but for some reason when I say "call john doe at work" i get about a 50% accuracy. Not sure why voice dialing from a fixed number of contacts is so challenging but free form sentence recognition works so well. I've tried VLINGO and while it is much much more accurate I don't ever want to touch my phone to make a call. I want to leave my phone in my pocket - press the BT button and say call so and so and be done with it. VLINGO wants to do too many things and wants you to touch the screen to authorize calls or tell it that you want to make a call.

2. Unread messages. On my EVO 3D I only have one email account set up - my exchange account. WM always was updating and showing the correct number of unread messages on my home screen. It isn't until I go into mail on my phone it seems to refresh messages even though my phone is set for push 24x7.

3. I'd like to be able to search my entire mailbox on the exchange server. Even with WM 6.0 a few years ago I could sync a couple of weeks worth of email but search the entire mailbox through years worth of email for a specific word or phrase.

Nobody has said a lot about what the deal is with ICS. Except for the fact it will bridge the gap with Phones and tablets. ie; same os.

It's a shame the Android OS doesn't figure more into enterprise devices.

Of course when you control 40+ percent of the market, you tend to shrug off the corporate niche.

I suppose it's a pissing match between Google and MS. MS just will not make life easier. But by God, they're willing to bring Microsoft Bob back to life with version 8 ;)

I just got an Epic Touch 4G - turns out it accurately indicates unread messages. My guess it was something to do with the EVO 3D sense that caused that issue. It is a shame because in general I prefer sense but have no desire to go back to the EVO 3D. Android is good but WP7 still is better for Exchange but that is no suprise.
