ok so I have the s9+ and its not paid off I have 4 lines but how dose the trade in credit work is it in full on a gift card or small amounts over 24 months?

I thought it had to be paid off in order or trade it in. Maybe I’m wrong

I using wont of my other lines to upstage and it would be paid off if the credit is in full

I think most of the carriers spread the trade-in credit out across the 24 months. Orders direct from Samsung, they take the full amount of the credit off the phone at purchase, and BestBuy gives you a gift card for the full trade-in amount that you can apply to the purchase of the phone if you want.

Depends on how it's set up with carrier, if it's lease program then no you can't trade it off. If it's like Verizon under a device payment program then you can. The Verizon type is basically like a credit card charge, it's unsecured credit, you own the phone, can do what you want with it, but you still have to pay it off, even if you no longer have the phone, they will take you to collections just like a credit card would.

I can tell you for a fact with Verizon, you are approved for a set amount of credit based on your credit report when you sign up, I have all s9 plus and note 9 phones, 10 of them, I'm $800 to my credit limit for new phones.

Damn I didn’t know that. I would have done the Best Buy trade in for the extra 550 off

Although my wife and I are on T-Mobile, I buy my phones unlocked direct from Samsung. This time I'm getting $550 for trading in a Pixel 3 on the S10+, and I just got a notice that my phone will be delivered on Wednesday.

I currently have a ATT S7 that I bought from a ATT store currently using the ATT prepaid service, can I get trade in credit for this phone or is it too old and/or not available for pre-paid plans?
