Question about Verizon BOGO

So this is my situation right now. I have an s9 plus that I'm still paying for, and my husband has an s7edge that he's done paying for. We decided to add a line for my son, and take advantage of the BOGO deal. My husband will take one note, since he's due for an upgrade. My question is, can I take the note under my line and give my son my s9+ with the new line? Or would that void the promotion? We pre-ordered our notes, they will be ready to pick up Friday, according to the best buy employee there should be no problem...but they've told me things that have not always been true before. I don't want to get the phones then get charged for two phones! Thanks!

As long as the new line is active for 24 months you will have no issues. They don't care which line uses what phone just that the line stays activate for duration of receiving account credit.

Could also add one of these. They count towards an "add-a-line" and only $5 a month instead of $20. We bought one for our 6 year old to qualify for the BOGO, but even if it sits in a drawer for 2 years we're still paying less then we would have without the BOGO.

Does this really work? Have you done it in the past or did you just do it now for the Note 9? If so, this sounds like an excellent way to take advantage of the BOGO.

I did it with the Note 9 cause I was arguing to the rep that I didn't need another line and they asked if I had any kids. The BOGO Note 9 gets the new line and the watch gets the former secondary line, but once you receive the devices you just call verizon and they'll swap the lines for you so the watch gets the new line instead. Did it yesterday when I received everything and worked like a charm.

Once everything is all said and done my wife and I will be paying less per month on 1 512GB Note 9, 1 128GB Note 9, and 1 GizmoGadget then we were previously paying for 2 S7 Edge's. It was definitely worth doing it this way.

That's good to know, thanks.

Once activated you can swap sims all you want.

My coworker just order and got his BOGO Note 9s yesterday through our corporate account using a corporate line ($500 for the phone) but he's going to use both phones with Red Pocket carrier. He just activated each line, removed sim and put in the Red Pocket GSMs in and he's in business.
