Question about WiFi speeds

Hello I was wondering what was the max WiFi speed an AT&T G3 was able to receive?

I recently upgrade my Internet to 300mbps down and 20mbps up but my G3 still won't go past 100mbps down but receives the 20mbps up.

In using an Asus RT-AC87R I've tried both the 2.4 and 5 GHz signals and still no luck.

Any help is appreciated thank you!

I'm still not getting my 300mbps it shows it connects with 300mbls but when I run a speed test it only goes up to 150mbps
