Question on saving pics from Samsung's txt app

Is there a way to get Samsung's text app to deal with saving pictures like Google's messages app does? In messages, it automatically names the file, and saves the file to a directory where it is backed up into the cloud. With the Samsung app, that does not happen.

I would just use messages, but I prefer the Samsung app :\ can anyone offer any help?
