Question re: contact photo

I added a new contact to my phone today, and I don't have her on any social media. Somehow, there's a picture of her in my contacts. Where did contacts pull the picture from since we're not friends on any social media sites? This isn't a problem at all, I'm just very curious where the picture came from.

It's probably from your google acct..
Or Gmail contacts .!

Thank you so much! That was completely unexpected and weird. I've double checked my Samsung profile to make sure my picture isn't randomly popping up on other people's phones. lol

Android phones used to be able to pull contact photos from several websites (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc) along with info, such as profile updates, new posts, etc until those companies made tighter restrictions on security.

I personally like having contact photos automatically appear. It's much easier to sort through my list of text messages when I can look for a face vs reading through each name.
