My question is....
When I am home and when I leave to go out of town my phone signal is great but once I return home the signal drops....why does this happen and is there a quick fix??

thanks

Best way is to determine what dpm you have at home and elsewhere. The higher the number the farther you are from the closest tower. I'm in a crappy service area and i usually get between 100dbm-104dbm. In my condo, I have no problems in certain areas, but other places i get dropped.

Try updating the "tower locator" by dialing *228 and following the prompts.

I do it when I travel between Maine and Mass and it helps out a lot.

Good luck.

The Incredible 2 is well known for its reception problems, which stem from their placing the antenna in the back battery door. The phone has a hard time holding onto a signal and the signal fluctuates constantly. HTC has admitted the problem and released a software patch, which only resulted in the phone adding an additional bar to fool you into thinking you have a better signal. But garbled voice and dropped calls tell a different story. They are supposed to be redesigning the antenna for future phones, but that won't help us Inc 2 owners. Meanwhile, Verizon, notwithstanding, thousands of complaints continues to play dumb officially, but if you speak to a manager in person they admit this phone has severe problems holding a signal.
