Questions about charging and cases

I just got my S7 and I'm really happy with it. I noticed that when I connect the charger, a blue water ripple effdct happens. Didn't happen in my S6 so wondering if that's new. Also what cases does everyone use? I currently have an Otterbox defender (I love built in screen protectors) but this case fell short. It decreases the touch sensitivity on the screen. Thanks


Edit: does anyone else have issues with the phone changing your ringtones? I keep setting up individual contacts, Gmail, and texts and it all changes back

Hello dear: I own a SGs7 and hasn't noticed that ripple effect. Regarding to which case
to use, normally PhoneUsers buy the case too, when upgrade to another phone plan.
from SGs5-6 to SGs7 : I got the case too, but like you said reduce operation of the
volume+Turn on-off buttons. I get rid of it and bought-1 in dollar store
it works great-That's my comment on this issue. StayTuned! @AC - O

The blue ripple effect is standard at least on the Verizon S7. I had the same issue with the Defender, but replaced the plastic built in with a glass screen protector on the phone itself and took the plastic one off. Did this on my S5 as well. The only issue is the curvature of the screen and the otterbox being squared off. I used some double stick tape cut in strips to hold the phone in place and it works. Just wish Otterbox course have built its case to follow the curve of the screen.

Lacking the cool factor of some of the expensive cases, the Verizon two piece case works well for me. It's very tough and protects the phone perfectly. It also has cutaways exposing the side buttons. Oh, yeah...my T-Mobile S7 does the ripple effect also.

I just recently purchased an S7 from AT&T and it has the water ripple effect.
One major trouble I have is the Samsung USB cable only works sporadically to charge, so I have to use another USB cable.

I use a BodyGuardz case and Zagg screen protector.

I've been using the black/frost hybrid case from unicorn beetle. Pretty nice case in my opinion especially after trying the OtterBox Defender and a few others first. My biggest gripe with the OtterBox Defender was it was hard to get the Fast wireless charging to work and when it did the phone would get so hot it was crazy.
