questions about unlocking Samsung Wave GT-S8500

Hello!
I've unlocked a few blackberry's before but my wife now has a badaOS device and I am not sure how to go about unlocking it. I know how to get the IMEI number and googling the device and how to unlock it has been fruitless. For a blackberry unlock i needed the IMEI and the carrier MEP ID, do i need these for the Wave? Any help or info is greatly appreciated thanks!
