Questions: Homescreen icons and Hotmail app

Two questions:

Can I edit the four homescreen icons near the bottom? Right now it has Phone, Email, Web, and Applications (in that order). I know how to delete/move the other icons (by holding it down), but the same doesn't work for those four.

Secondly, can anyone recommend a good Hotmail/Live application for email? I just downloaded a Yahoo Mail app (by Yahoo) and was wondering if a Hotmail app was out there as well. The benefit of having the Yahoo app is that once you delete the email on your phone, it deletes it online on the server as well (I just tested this and it works instantly!!!). This doesn't work through the normal way of deleting emails via the native icon. I searched around but couldn't find a decent app for Hotmail.

I can only answer the first question, so here ya go:

Go to apps
Tap Menu
Tap View Type
Select Customizable Grid
Tap Menu again
Tap Edit

Now drag any icon you want to the dock and replace the others. You can only do it in edit mode though. Long pressing when not in edit will put icons on your main screens

For the hotmail issue...setup your account using exchange active sync instead of the default pop3. The native email app defaults to pop3 (if you don't choose to do the manual setup) which sucks with hotmail/msn. Instructions on how to setup push email are in the link below...
