Questions on rooting

There should be a folder "Platform-tools" and it should have stuff in it. Do you see that?

You need to install the Platform Tools package on your SDK. Open your SDK file click on SDK manager once it opens you will see a list of things you can install pick Platform-Tools from the list you can reject the others if you want, it should be like version 3 or something like that. Let it install then check your SDK file and make sure it is there.

thats where picture 4 on the 2nd page comes in. i try opening the SDK manager and I get that error screen... :( I feel like a little kid that can't do anything right lol

i have it downloaded already :(

I had something like that happen to me to but I can't remember how I fixed it. Give me some time to think about . I have a possible work around I could upload the platform-tools file off my PC you can put it in your SDK file it should work but I will need to get home first so I can upload it.

Everything seemed to work fine up to the point where i type SU. It says permission denied... I am in charge only and it says to allow Super User on your phone but how would i do that?

Turn on the phone screen and try again watch the phone screen it will ask on the Shifts screen you have to tap allow. Screwed me up the first time to I had to ask because I couldn't figure it out.

hmmm..Still the same thing. I tried it with the screen lock on and on the home screen. I'ma try to temp root it again and see if it works then. Once the temp root process is over its suppose to reboot itself correct?

I have the shift on the home screen unlocked with charge only and USB debugging checked and i'm still getting permission denied. Maybe my phone is never meant to be rooted with all the trouble i'm having lol

Reset your phone and your PC and start again. But first look in super user on your phone and see if your PC is listed as unapproved.

Oh wait i do see superuser in my phone's app list. Does that mean i had did it correctly? Cause i never allowed it on my phone like the guide says

oh okay so i go into the superuser and where inside of that do i check to see if my computer is unlisted?
I was in the settings and i tapped the SU binary v original and it says there is a SU update but it fails to update. Could that be one of the problems?

Will be the first thing you see when you open the app it will probably be called unknown app.
