Questions Switching from DX to D3

So my wife and I just took advantage of the BOGO on the D3's at VZW. We both were thinking of switching to the iPhone, but I was coming from a DX and I knew I liked Android and figured the switch would be pretty easy. Plus getting two really solid phones for under $200 when we would pay double to triple that for two new iPhones was too good to pass up. Anyway, I have a few questions about the switch.

1. Since it doesn't come with an SD card, I swapped my 16 gb one from my DX into the D3. A few things aren't showing up. I moved a few apps that you apparently can't buy anymore onto the SD card before loading it into my D3 and I can't find them. Also, when I search in Astro, I can find my Chomp settings under "sd-ext", not "sd", so I can't load up my previous Chomp settings. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's like the phone is reading my SD card as something external and not fully on the phone.

2. I can't seem to get my VM password to stay so that when I press "1" to call my VM I don't have to put in the password. Does anyone know how to fix this? I tried deleting Voicemail from my contacts and it still doesn't work.

3. Are there any other things that I really need to know about switching phones that I need to make sure I've done?

Thanks to anyone!

Ok, so I got the Voicemail password issue worked out. But I'd still love some help with the SD card and/or if anyone has any other "ground rules" for what needs to be done when switching phones.

Thanks again!

The only thing I can tell you is that not all apps will be transferable. I like to download all of my apps from Amazon App Store because then they download automatically. I have had my phone for over a week now and I have learned a little. Let me know if you need anymore help.

/sdcard-ext is where you will find your files from the old phone. This phone has a virtual SD card in /sdcard and it is probably where you are looking. Most apps are hard coded to look for the memory card files in /sdcard and you would have to manually move the files from /sdcard-ext to /sdcard

So essentially what you're saying is that I need to plug this bad boy into my computer and move the stuff from /sdcard-ext to /sdcard so that they'll show up? It's not just for the apps, but also for my saved settings in things like ChompSMS. It won't find it, but I know it's in /sdcard-ext.

Thanks for your help!

Yes that is exactly what I am saying. You may also be able to use Astro or another file manager to do the same thing. Havent really messed with any of that stuff yet.
