Quick question on how to connect to 3G with Nexus 4? (new android user)

Hi all,

I am very new to android. I have a nexus 4 with straight talk and am trying to figure out how to use the internet when I am not connected to WiFi. My wife's Galaxy Proclaim android phone automatically connects to 3G when cell service is available however my Nexus 4 does not. This is probably a stupid question to most of you pros out there but a little help/ instructions here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It should connect automatically. Is mobile data turned on? Airplane mode off? You have a Sim card that's activated on the right plan?

Thanks for the reply Gown Down South,

Check, check, & check. The Straight Talk SIMS card is activated and seems to be working fine, mobile data is turned on, and airplane mode is off. Weird huh....
