it seems like it's either you sync everything, or you sync my contacts though.

Yeah, I saw this on the Google support as well. I'm wondering if it really is restricted to just sync all or my contacts or other groups that I make. If you could select specific groups, that would be GREAT. Can anyone with groups check this?

On the Incredible, when you go to the Groups tab and press the Menu key, you get only two options:

1. Add Group
2. Delete Groups

This option ("option "Sync Groups"") doesn't exist, unfortunately.

Like everyone here, I'm stuck looking at 200 contacts ("My contacts") - most of whom I won't bother contacting ever again.

The Inc gives you the option to ignore Gmail contacts entirely and use only a local set of Phone contacts -- what the Inc OUGHT TO DO is allow us to create a special folder for the mobile phone and sync only THAT folder.

I'm going to just rebuild my Phone contacts and be sure to sync it with VZW's new Backup Assist feature so that this will be the LAST time I have to rebuild my contacts.
