Quick switch between Samsung and other input methods?

Is there a quick way to switch from the Samsung keyboard to other input methods? I've just got a bluetooth keyboard, for which I have to use the Samsung keyboard, but when the bluetooth keyboard is not connected I want to use other input methods (Kii or Google handwriting recognition). It is easy to switch from Kii and Google handwriting recognition to another input method, but it seems that to get out of the Samsung keyboard I have to go into device settings and follow a large number of steps. Is there any kind of shortcut. Or is there another third-party keyboard input method that will handle a bluetooth keyboard but also allow me to switch easily to something else?

When the Samsung keyboard is open you could try swiping down from the status bar and there should be an option to change the input method.
