AC Question

How do you mute a Samsung S5 (AT&T) with the minimum effort? Right now I am unlocking the phone with the right hand side power button and then holding down the Down volume button on the left side until ti goes to vibrate only then silent. I am in and out of meetings a lot and need to turn sound off then on a lot.

Am I missing some shortcut/trip to make this easier?

(I do not want to start an argument about which phone is better...I have two phones, one personal and one company issued. Both are with me at all times. The one that is not an S5 has a physical mute switch, going into meetings I flip the switch, then flip it when the meeting is over. There are things I love about both phones, but one is currently a lot more "work" than the other in terms of sound management.)

After getting the screen on, pull down the Notifications window. If Sound isn't in there, edit the notifications (pull it down with 2 fingers, then tap the pencil) and pull it up from the bottom part of the screen (stored but not used icons) to the top part (used icons). In the future, tap it once to go to vibrate, and again to go to silent (then once more to turn sound back on).

Go to Settings-Motion-Motion and Gestures -Mute/pause. You can set your phone to mute by placing your palm on it or laying it facedown.
