QuickPic deleting pictures

This app has always been my favorite for pictures on my phone, but lately on this s22 ultra its making me angry. Randomly when I move pictures or videos from my camera folder to a specific folder, it completely deletes them. I've lost quite a few now that I hadn't sent to someone.

I figure it's just the app, but anyone else has this happen on this phone?

I don't have a direct answer for you, but this is another reason why it's usually best to use the Copy command rather than the Move command. If something goes wrong using the Copy command, at least you won't lose the source file as well.

Yeah after losing files I have definitely started going this route as it's so random

It's worth sending an email to the developer to see if they're aware of the issue. I would also point out that although Quickpic used to be a really excellent app from an independent developer, it was bought by that terrible company Cheetah Mobile, who proceeded to spoil the app by cramming lots of unwanted "features" into it, as well as ads and possibly other shady stuff. The current dev listed in the Play Store ("Quickpic Developer Team") may not be any better -- when I clicked on their company site link on their Play Store page, I get a Chrome warning that "Site is not secure" because it doesn't support HTTPS. When I do agree to go onto the site, I don't even see Quickpic listed there.

If you don't want to use Google Photos, then you might want to try Simple Gallery Pro or Piktures.

Do you have them backed up in Google Photos? I make sure my pictures are backed up before I delete them off my phone.
