I got an htc thunderbolt today, right away I put on cm7, and now I have tried 3 different gingerbread radios all named PG05IMG.zip under the root of the sd card, hboot says No Image! like normal. Cant figure out how to go back to stock either.

Make sure they're just named PG05IMG. Leave the .zip off because it's automatically called that.

I've tried both of these :/ I have tried 4-5 different radio files from different websites and I am positive it is named correctly.

Ive now tried over 7 radios, i have tried stock roms, gingerbread roms, froyo roms, etc, and all the matching radios. All of them with the correctly named PG05IMG.zip and everytime it reads No Image! Someone please help so I dont end up throwing the phone away.

here is a question that I don't know if it has been answered.

1. Did you put it on the root / home directory?

2. Did you boot into BOOTLOADER? (power off and then POWER and DOWN button for 5 seconds). I have tried going from ROM Manager and it gives me an error every time. It only works (flashing the radio) from the BOOTLOADER. I have done it about 3 times this week alone....Mr2 to Mr3

Also, you can only have ONE file with the same name in the same folder at the same time... so saying you have 3 different radio files with the name PG05IMG.zip is not possible. You need to remove all of them, then download the file from a reliable source... I'd trust XDA or RootzWiki like Radio from the new update 2.11.605.9 - RootzWiki, which should work with any GB ROM... at least it does with CM7.1.1 which I'm running right now.

The guys over at Androidforums.com nailed the problem right on the head.

The sd card was formatted to FAT and the sd card has to be formatted fat32 for it to find it.

but still no reception

should it matter if i don't have a sim card from Verizon yet? I just bought the phone used and it didn't come with one, but even without it on the stock software I still had reception.

Just taking another stab at this.....by any chance are you using a 3rd party extended battery and cover?....or a different battery and cover than came with the phone.

I only ask because I bought a 3rd party battery and cover and it killed my signal.

More than likely that isn't it...but just wanted to throw that out there.
