I've been eagerly waiting to get my hands on an Evo and with no luck. I prefer going to a physical store to get it, but due to the shortage it has been impossible. It is "order-able" (not sure if that's a real word) on radioshack.com for $199.99 with contract, stating it'll ship within 2-3 weeks. wirefly.com shows $189.99 with contract, also stating it'll ship within 2-3 weeks. Who should get my business?

I would just go down to best buy and ask to be put on their wait list. I was only on the wait list for 1 day before I got mine. There was 2 people a head of me.

I ordered two on wirefly. Used the bing cash back($50) and got two free headsets (wireflyblue11). Free shipping and no tax. I will have to wait a week or two though. It was worth it after two days of searching locally with no luck.

Be careful with Radio Shack. We were on a waiting list for the EVO with them (and Best Buy). We got calls from both stores at the same time. The difference was that Radio Shack was requiring us to purchase three accessories as a stipulation to our being able to purchase the phone from them.

They told us this was a decision from Corporate and that it was due to the EVO being so popular. Needless to say, Best Buy got our business. They even threw in two bluetooth headsets. The thing is, we would have probably have purchased two or three accessories from them anyway, but to be TOLD that we HAD to purchase a set number of accessories from them or we couldn't buy the phone is just wrong. Maybe the store near us was just getting greedy. :o

Total lie. Get the number for their district office (posted in the store) and report that, please!

It's douches like that that give us bad reputations.

Yup they tried to get over. I wouldn't give my business to that location. I bought my first Evo from radio shack. Never had to buy any accessories nor did I have to pay restocking when I returned it.

Radioshack in Kernersville, NC also told me I had to purchase accessories in order to buy the Evo. I decided to stick with the order I placed on wirefly because of that nonsense.

Radio ShacK Online

THey have been awesome to me. Had a problem with two Blackberries and they really stepped up letting me keep the BB with a loose keyboard until I have the EVO in hand now that is service! And in California if you buy retail you have to pay sales tax on the MSRP and ordering online with RS no sales tax...saved me $60.
