IT'S NOT MINUTE BEEPS, every call notification has been turned off. if I could post a screen shot to show this I would. Sometimes I get a beep every minute, sometimes several in a minute, occasionally I wont have any for half an hour. There is rhyme or reason to it as far as I can tell. No messenges or app active, just beeps

My phone is a Straighttalk galaxy s4, has anybody found a solution to this? I've tried turning all notification tones on and then back off to no avail. They are loud and im about to just replace this thing. I've spent plenty of time looking into this with out finding a real cause. People are speculating it's the NSA but I dont swallow that . thanks for looking

Welcome to Android Central! Do the beeps sound like the usual tone heard if you have call waiting? When the beeps occur, do any new notification icons appear in the status bar? Have you asked Straight Talk about this?

It sounds exactly like someone has pressed a button on either end. I know this is not the case as I hear this tone when talking to someone using a headset, while at the same time im on speaker phone. Being on speakerphone I can clearly see that I have zero notifications during these occurances.

I would rather not contact straighttalk's customer service. These people are rather enept concerning technical issues. The biggest problem with them is thier lack of an English vocabulary. As such they have a hard time realizing what it is you are trying to describe. It's always frustrating, non-productive and I always end up replacing the device in question. This is likely what I will do as black Friday is right around the corner.

Frustrating.:-\ I was going to ask if the screen wasn't properly turning off when the phone is up against your ear (and therefore maybe your face is inadvertently tapping a dialpad key), but you mentioned that this happens on speakerphone as well, and you are presumably certain that nothing is touching the screen while you're talking in that situation.
