Well not all OVs were created equally. You may actually have to under clock to 480. Also, you could set you min to 480 and Max to 600. I think people have had luck with that

as soon as the rom boots, you need to go into settings and set min/max to 480/600 as mentioned, select set at boot, and then reboot to stick the change...

Well like thatguylurkin said then wait till tdm gets that kernel done and my suggestion is if your new to this should be starting out with a iho rim anyways to get used to the flashing game. But if its a ics your wanting then make sure you part ion your SD card it makes a Hugh diff and if you use tdm aokp ics oc @ 600/480 Im on the 7/12 nightly and I don't get rr.but we need more info to help properly. :D

GTR, AOKP, MiRaGe, CM9, BOBZ ICS, GODZILLA, Harmonia 2.08 killing the game!!!!!!!

1 power off phone
2 enter recovery mode
3 wipe data/factory settings/cache/dalvik cache
4 flash Godzilla ROM
5 flash gapps
6 wipe cache/dalvik cache
7 power on phone

I think you're missing a wipe of the system partition in that method. Also, wiping cache and dalvik after you flash gapps is unnecessary.

I've been having the same problems.
Every time I flash any froyo rom it reboots at random times!
On the other hand, when I use a gingerbread or ice cream sandwich rom, it runs perfectly, no random reboots!
Does anyone know what could be wrong with my optimus?

I think I've heard about this before. I believe that the Froyo ROMs are slightly overclocked by default. IHO ROMs and Quattrimus ROMs are clocked at stock speeds by default.
