I came from an EVO LTE (basically a One X), and while I could see a difference, I never could (and still can't) see the Pentile. Maybe my eyes aren't as good as I thought they were!

Aw, lucky you. I like my good eyesight, but I wish it was bad enough so I don't have to see bad things *coughpentilecough*... if that even makes sense or is possible.

How is everyone?? Any one dumped touchwiz yet and put so aosp on it? I am running Liquid Smooth and very nice. Just curious what some people might be running to comply with the thread

I'm not trying to be biased, but here's the best thing I could find. I still think the S3 is neck and neck with the HOX being the two greatest phones out there. If you wanna know what I saw, well the stuff on S3 was pretty dim and fuzzy.

I know there is a difference when you get down to the displays but man I'm still saying Samsung has nothing to be ashamed of with the screen on the SGS 3... I grab my wife's SGS 3 and look at it daily and say man thats a sweet display

Before anyone asks, yes I have compared the HOX & SGS 3 side by side.

Probably the only thing I would ever have to change on the SGS 3's layout is rooting it to add a 1% battery mod. I can't deal with the stock Google battery meter and I hate having to use a widget or launcher to give me a true battery reading.

Why I'm on the subject why Google? Why still today are you using that useless stock battery meter? The increments at which it displays at are just horrible... Come on Google lets see a true 1% meter of some sort for KLP

im still on stock ToucheJizz mate, 1st phone i havent modded yet and 1st samsung. i love the pull down toggles so much.. wish they were prettyer but hey and i cover the crappy launcher with Go Launcher. im on int' version so should get JB TW soon n then il prob get itchy fingers lol

I agree, it's not as bad as a lot of reviews I read said it was. I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the S3's screen with my own eyes (shoving Pentile aside) I literally nearly soiled myself. It's pretty darn gorgeous for a pixel matrix that's taken so much heat.

@Mango, I agree man.. I started off with the wife and I both rocking the Samsung Epic 4g. We really enjoyed the display even on those. I flashed the heck out of that thing til the end of time and back.

Since then I've owned the NS4G and now the Sprint Galaxy Nexus. Sure they aren't on par exactly with the SGS 3 but still the core fact remains its still the AMOLED display Samsung is known for and they have all been impressive to me.

Back on the SGS 3 it is an incredible display IMO. I guess we will continue to leave the pentile vs non pentile debates continue with the hardware (display) guru's of the internet

@Paul Yeah, a pal of mine is still rocking the 4G and I remember when I first saw the screen I was so envious, that I was willing to sell him my iPod touch 4g for it. To this day his screen still impresses me, and sometimes I find that it looks better than my HOX.

It seems to be a mystery but at least we're not missing much.. I've never used those color temp settings before on any device.. tablets, TVs. I always find standard to be the best looking setting.

I'm excited, I just grabbed Nova launcher prime for a quarter ($0.25), they should have 25 days of $.25 apps! I'd been trying to justify spending money on an app. Only app I had paid for yet was Power Amp and it took a lot of convincing to do so. What can I say I'm cheap!

ive always preferred "dynamic" on tv and maybe its placaebo but i seem to prefer it on s3 too. doubt youz are missing much but since its obv' a software thing, i wonder why its missin from the north american units..

poweramp was the app that made me link my debit card to google market lol (none of the pirated unlock keys worked). il go check out nova prime if its on sale......
