No one has anything interesting to talk about

I am picking up the HTC One for my wife this week. I was thinking Nexus 4, but she wants a nicer camera and I think this phone is amazing. I like the style better than the S4 and think fewer options will be better for her on Sense than Touchwiz. What do you guys think?

Hope she enjoys being 2 versions of android behind and having to charge her phone multiple times daily with heavy use with that non removable back

The htc one would make a great tablet imo, but as a phone, I just don't see it, atleasr from my perspective

Build quality is irrelevant because you are going to put a case on it or risk breaking the device

You can't add a bigger battery

You don't need dual speakers on a phone unless you are one of those dooches that walks around playing music and sounds through their phones all day without headphones on

As a tablet, the htc one would be excellent, as a phone? I don't see it

Overall, it's not a bad option for a phone at all of course, and its definitely a top 3 phone right now, but I just don't see the hype

And as far as sense vs touch wiz, if you don't like either, juaf disable the features and use go or apex launcher

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............
You are likely to start a war doing a comparison on phones on a "phone forum". Just have a look at the HTC and S4 forums and you will see what I mean.......................Anarchy I say.

LOL. Tell me how you really feel. I seriously laughed.

As you may or may not know, I'm not new to the phone game. I spend many an hour reading up on everything. I use a Nexus 4 so I can an totally appreciate updates. But she could care less about any of that. She wants a good flexible camera so I think the One is better. I am not opposed to the S4 (which I assume would be your choice) but I think she will be overwhelmed by it. Even with a launcher Touchwiz is still dark and heavy. I had the SGS2. I like the email, calendar and general Sense softwares look and feel over Tw. I also like the LCD screen better on the One.

The battery is super important if you use it like I do but she is a very light user. Even on my Nexus 4, I can deal with not having a removable battery. I'm always near power and can plug in or use a portable battery on the rare occasion I don't. Even on my SGS2 I rarely swapped batteries, so ya, this is my reasoning.

Guess who got accepted into AP US History? This guy! :D

A little nervous since this is the first advanced class I've ever taken, but I'm up for the challenge. Surely won't be looking forward to the hours upon hours of busywork, but it'll be great trying something new. I don't plan on being part of the group that drops out within the first month. ;)

The note 2 would be my choice, followed by the s4,nexus 4 and probably galaxy Nexus

Based on the way she uses her phone, the one should be a good purchase

The Note 2 is awesome but too big for her. I am going to look at the S4 too.

I really didn't know it was such a touchy subject. I know there are some threads where people are going off, but man its like we are eating our children now on AC. Whatever happened to the good old days when we only hated Apple? :p
