RAZR plus 2024 doesn't respond to my taps (occasionally)

In the last couple of days my phone will occasionally not detect my taps. What's weird is the half screen works without a problem. I don't know if this is a software or hardware issue. Eventually the taps are recognized and I power off the phone and then turn it back on. I get full functionality for a while. Any suggestions/thoughts? And is there a way to power off the phone from the half screen?

Do you have a screen protector on?

Does the putter screen work? You can power it off from there the same way you do from the inner screen

ITs rare but phone screens can malfunction like that. Its a defect in the digitizer and can be accomplished by phone drops.
