RCA Cambio 10.1 battery drains even when shut down

It's always dead when I go to turn it on. Did I do something wrong?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you completely powering down the tablet, or just putting the screen to sleep? If it's completely powered down, then the battery is likely faulty.

I hit the Shut Down button (it's a 2-in-1).

...And just now, it's working fine. That's just weird. I'll try it again after I wake up, just shutting down.
