Ok i have no clue what Forum i should post this in, so sorry in advanced.

My Mom live 3 hours away and got a new HTC Rezound. She had Motorola droid X2 that was nothing but problems and after sending 6 hours getting everything setup over Easter weekend, Verizon finally decided to allow her to trade in the phone for something better. (this was the second X2 that i configured for her and the second one that was a POS).

Anyway i am back at home now and now she has this nice new phone but needs it all setup again.

I read on a forum somewhere about an app that will allow you to use your PC to remote into a phone and control it as if you had it in you hands just like if you were using RDP with a PC. Anybody have a clue what that app would be and if it is possible without the phone being rooted?

I'm hoping for something i can install from google play since i control her account then walk her though giving me access. once i have access i can take it from there.

If this is the wrong forum feel free to move it to the right one.

Remote Desktop Client by Xtralogic works well...it's a little pricey though at $25. You can connect to any computer the same as you would with RDP on PC. Pinch to zoom works well and you screen acts as a touchpad to control the mouse. There's some free ones out there but they're not as good. There are other solutions that require additional software to be installed on pc.

Sorry but you may have miss understood my post. I want to go the other direction. i want to remote control the phone from my pc. not the other way around. This software is not what i am looking for.
