Re-downloading apps on replacement phone?

I have a defective Samsung Captivate in that the back creaks and the screen is a little raised on one side more than the other. I want to replace it for another Captivate (I am still within my 30 days). Will I have to redownload all my apps or is there a way to store them then sync them to your phone?
