Re-pairing Watch to phone after clean flashing new ROM

I've got a Sony sw50 and a nexus 6. When clean flashing a rom on my phone I always end up having to factory reset the watch to get it to pair up again with the phone. This is a huge pain since the watch then has to resync all apps and over a gig of music.
I've yet to figure out what to back up and restore on the phone with titanium backup to keep the pair. I've tried backing up the android wear app and all Bluetooth pairings. Anyone know what to back up or if this is even possible?

If there is a way to do it, I haven't found it either . To get a AW watch to pair with a new device (or in this case a device with a new ROM), I've always had to reset the watch.

Thanks for the reply. At least I'm not the only one who can't figure it out. I'll keep looking and testing and will post back if I ever get it figured out.
