I have taken unused apps and reduced them to the "factory version". This increases my storage, but a few days later updates bring the app back. If I could disable the "updates" this would solve my storage issue.

Welcome to the forums. Can you disable the app in settings>apps?

If you disable the app it stops trying to update.
