read notifications aloud - greyed out.

Trying to use Hands-Free Mode. Is all greyed out. When I click it. It says " to turn on handsfree mode turn on at least one relevant function." I click OK. And everything is greyed out. Help please!

Its wants you to connect a hand free device usually by Bluetooth before it will be active

I tried that, it didn't work. I've been playing with this for a week. I factory reset it and that did it. What a pain putting everything back. Thank you for your response!

shoot, i'm in the same boat here.cant get it to work either

ok, think i broke it with driving mode widget, i turned that off. reinstalled it and turned it on, working now.
the result is not what was expected, does not read messages or anything, just anounces the name if it is in the priority list. sigh,
