read report on msg images only

I have an s6 and my hubby has an s4. He just started getting a "read report" (see attachment) when I send him an image. I've checked my settings and he checked his. And read receipt is not checked for either of us. Any idea why this is happening?!

I deleted your attachment because the phone number was visible. If you want to edit the photo and reupload then feel free to do so. Regarding the question, does the read receipt only show with mms? Or does it also show with any text message being sent or received? It could be a setting on the carrier side, which may require you to log into your account (via web) and look for those settings and disable.
