I have some books in EPUB format (no DRM). I'd like to read these on my Nexus 7. How?

Is it simply a matter of dragging these into the N7 Download folder and using GooglePlay Books to access these? Seems too easy.

Aldiko (free app in Google Play) is an excellent way to read books. You can drag books from your computer into eBooks file on Nexus or use Calibre Cloud (free app in Google Play) to download directly into Nexus. Aldkido uses Epub format. Also recommend Calibre (free software) to convert epub to mobi and vice versa.

I believe if you install the B&N Nook app you just drag your files to their folder and read them with that reader. I am not sure if you can do that with the Kindle app.

I used to use Aldiko, until i discovered FBReader. The difference is that FBReaer will read aloud to you once you install the TTS plugin. I read at night, but now have my books also read to me when i'm getting ready for work or driving. It's a free app in the PlayStore.

Nobody has mentioned the best feature of Google play - you can get it to read to you in a high-quality american or english male or female accent.
Plus it allows you to add free books from Gutenberg to your library.
Have to say I dont know yet how to apply the voice v3.0 update to the app, and adding the freebies doesnt always seem to work.
I have a nexus 10.
