ReadItToMe does it work for anyone else?

I'm in the market for a new phone and while looking at the Droid Turbo, I was intrigued by the Moto Assist feature where it will automatically read text messages aloud when you receive them in your car. I looked into alternatives as I'm on a Galaxy S3 running 4.4.2 and will be upgrading to an S6 soon. I found ReadItToMe, but I can't seem to get it to work. Has anybody else used this and had any luck? Or have you found another app that works better?

I have it set so when I connect to bluetooth it turns on. This is perfect for me because the only time I regularly connect to bluetooth is in my car and that's when I want it to work. However, I can't get it to read the messages. I even changed it so it is always running and always reading messages but got nothing. If you are using this, can you tell me how you have yours set up? Maybe it's because I'm on an older device?

Moto Assist was the thing I missed most from my Moto X 2013. I've been using Agent strictly for the Driving mode, activated either by Bluetooth or motion, and found it works well. It will read SMS and has the option to reply via voice. It's not as good as Moto Assist, but I think it's the closest you can get.

Thanks, that looks like it does exactly what I want it to do and other stuff as well. I'm going to give it a try this evening when I get home.
