Rear LED notification

Hi all, has anyone gotten the rear LED light to flash for notifications? I've tried several different apps with no success. My idea notification from that LED is if it pulsed slowly instead of flashed but I just can't seem to find an app or a way to make it happen.

Since the ambient display sorta sucks, I like having the screen facing down on my desk and there isn't a way to know I have a notification unless I flip it over (or hear the tone/vibration). Any suggestions?

you can turn the ambient display off and use the notification light on the front if you want.

I have found that having it rest on its screen side, I can pick up the phone with my finger on/near the fingerprint scanner as I'm lifting it to see the ambient display. So far it has worked well but I just don't know if I have notifications waiting for me when I leave the phone unattended or on vibrate at a distance. Just trying to seek a solution if one is available.

I dont use it for repetitive reminders, I have it set to only flash when actually receiving a call and/or notification. It does have settings however for repeating.
