my phone today for some reason decided to reboot and when it rebooted it kept rebooting in the loop. it would say "droid" then show the red eye, then show the HTC logo and then do the same thing all over again. i have been having problems with the memory lately. kept telling me my inbox was full and then my apps but when i check storage im no where close of using all the phones storage... i really don't want to do a factory reset mostly because i just did one about 2 months ago and don't want to do the process all over again....i have my old dare that i can use in the meantime, i'm flying back home for the holidays and would like to have a working phone..will i be able to keep my unlimited data if i switch back to the droid or would i be stuck in the tiered plan for data?

jsut saw another post about this....i tried the wipe cache option..it then says" no space left on device" it also shows "can't open/cache/recovery/command"

Unfortunately in this case the only thing you can do now is to do the reset. Low space errors cannot be ignored. I just had a customer in the other day who was having low space warnings on his Evo and when he brought it in, the phone was bootlooping and I couldn't even wipe cache for him because there was so little space - gave me the same error you mentioned.

Once you are grandfathered in, you're grandfathered in for good - I believe - no matter what device(s) you activate.
