Received My CLNR - Says "No" Under Reconditioned But It Says Activated 7/2012

I hit *#*#786#*#* to see the status of my CLNR phone and it says "No" under reconditioned, but says it has been activated before and lists the number of hours of calls and number of calls, and it has clearly been used (3000+ hours of talk time).

How can they send me a phone that has not been reconditioned but has been used that much? I don't see any marks on the case or screen glass so I think at least those have been replaced. They look brand new.

The white sticker inside the phone says STA 4/03/2013.

What am I missing?

Either someone took really good care of it or it just simply wasn't marked as reconditioned -- most likely a mistake.

The glass has to be new; it is pristine. The case has a qualcomm sticker on it like the new ones have. I think the case and the glass have to be new so maybe the internals were old but the case and the glass are the only new parts so that doesn't qualify as reconditioned?

Unfortunately, I don't know the specifics of what constitutes as a reconditioned device. Sounds like you got a winner though, either way.

With 3000+ hours of calls, it was beyond the 14 day return period, so it was a warranty return. That is what concerns me.

Still testing it out so we shall see. It is made in China whereas mine was made in Korea (from the first batch made). I hope they worked out any kinks in the QA by they time they moved production to China.

Interestingly, I unlocked and rooted the CLNR and now it says all zeros for my activation date. I have unlocked, rooted, relocked, unrooted and unlocked my old GNex and it still has the original activation date in the RTN.
