Sent my Pixel 2 in and just got an email stating that the credit of $300 would be applied to my account that I paid with( Google finance Synchrony Bank) in 2-5 business days.

Nice, I ended up selling the phone myself this year. The credit isn't as high as last year. Got 75 more when I sold it myself. Google did give better packaging this year to send the phone back.

I thought about selling my phones this year instead of trading them in. As you mentioned, Google wasn't offering as attractive trade in values this year vs. last year. However, my USB C port was starting to wear out and my wife's phone had some light scratching on the screen. I figured Goog would be more forgiving of those things than an end user. So, I just traded them in.

My trade in was received by them on Monday.. Said I'd have a response within 72 hours yet still nadda....

My Pixel 2 was in brand new condition so if they don;t give me the full $300 I am going to be bent...

I got my trade in kit but decided to not trade in. The trade in value was not enough in my opinion. I ended up selling my Pixel 2 XL on Swappa and got almost $100 more than what I would have gotten for trading it in to Google.

Nice. yeah. I was lucky enough the person on Swappa that bought mine also lives close to me. I ended up meeting him in person and saved me $12 shipping.

For some that's the way to go.. I try to avoid selling online if I can as to many issues can arise. PayPal give buyers 6 months to file a claim and PayPal will almost always side with the buyer..

To me it's not worth the risk to make a few extra bucks....

Anyone think Google is lowballing some of these trade in prices?

Compared to last year, yes. They offered $400 for the original Pixel XL when the Pixel 2 XL came out. I did that trade in. I was set to do it again but then they lowered the trade in value to $325. That's why I decided to sell my phone on Swappa.

My 2 XL 128 is in like-new condition. The package is sealed and ready to take to the P.O. on Monday. My wife wants me to send it back using registered mail for safety. Anyone else do that?

I did not.... But I tracked it. You can probably just add insurance at the USPS for a few $. Registered is really secure but expensive and slow. Insured should be fine and hopefully you can just add it.

I'm thinking the same thing, had one all loaded up in the google cart but backed out. Since I didn't jump on the pre-ordere deals I am at the very least hoping for deals or credit towards accessories

Just got my email today. Phone accepted full 300 credit to be posted within 3 days.

Do you guys recall if there were any deals last year for Black Friday?

I got my wife a P3 XL but I held off on one. Wondering if I should wait?!?

Did you happen any display burn-in/image retention at all, and did it affect your trade-in value?
