Figured we could start a thread to subscribe to, with early thoughts and experiences with the beast!

I'm interested too! I ordered the Quartz so I'll be anxious to see what people think since they'll get the Gold one before I get mine.

Got mine this afternoon. Just finished setting it up, but I still have lots to do. The fingerprint scanner works quick and easy. No lag or stutter at all. It came with 39% charge on the battery so i charged it as I was setting it up. The supplied clear soft TPU case fits nice and I think I will use it. There were no updates to the OS. I had no issues at all with my 128GB Sandisk microSD card. Signal strength shows 2 bars, but so does my Galaxy S7 Active right next to it. It got a little warm while setting up, installing and updating several dozen apps (but so has every single phone I have set up). Right now it's cool as a cucumber. The supplied fast charger works fine. Haven't had it long enough to judge battery life, but if reviews are correct, I should make it a day with no problem as I'm not a gamer or heavy user.I've only taken a couple of photos in the room with room lighting. They were well exposed and sharp. I don't see any issues with this camera unless you're taking pictures in near total darkness. So far so good with not a single complaint.

Sweet... Interested to hear your battery experience after a few cycles

I'm loving the hardware. I didn't realize how awesome a fingerprint scanner would be on a phone until I was able to unlock LastPass with the touch of my finger!

The capacitive buttons aren't as bad as I thought. I do miss from time to time, but it's sort of rare.

The speakers are AWESOME! I have only been able to play some Megadeth, but it's blown away my Moto X Pure speakers.

I am getting used to the software. I fixed the look with Nova Launcher, but there's a few niggling things that are mildly bugging me, especially since I came from a 95% pure stock Android phone. Some ZTE apps can't be disabled, and the ZTE Locker is nowhere to be found in the settings. I need to figure out how I can get Power Toggles to override the UI. I'm not sure if it's possible right now.

Just from the last two hours of setting up, I like it. Tomorrow is the true test of mettle!

EDIT: Also another huge plus versus the Moto X Pure, the phone hasn't come close to heating up like my Moto X does. It's a very welcome thing!

This phone is way better than expected. It has no hang ups using it unlike my GS7 edge. Doesn't heat up nearly as much as any other phone I have used. The sound is excellent and the build quality is the best I've seen. There are some issues like Wi-Fi grinds to a snails pace sometimes. But the issues I've seen are able to be fixed with software updates. Also the screen is on our with a Samsung flagship device easily.

I was listening to music using the earbuds that come with it. While listening I wanted to play dokkan battle, a DBZ game. After booting it up, it immediately gave me a hum louder and harsher than a Pokemon cry (another reference). Seems to only happen with the game up, with or without music playing. Words I felt like I had to share so you guys know

Well maybe when ZTE finally comes out with all these software updates that people are saying are needed I will revisit the Axon 7. But I have been burned before. I canceled my pre order until the software updates are actually sent. This also includes the promised bootloader unlock.

That's because it is the same display that's on the Samsung S7.
