Receiving emails on my phone

I have my gmail account linked, but I am not receiving emails. I use to be able to receive them, but turned if off and can't seem to figure out how to turn it back on.

I have recently been looking around the settings but can pinpoint what seems to be causing the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look under settings > accounts> select your Gmail account, make sure every box that you desire is synced. That's what I would try first. Keep us posted.

When I went there it asks me to "Touch to synch now," which I did. Surely there is a way to do this automatically?
